Where to start? There's a lifetime of memories. How about the first time I took him to Wrigley, he as just a baby and we sat in the front row of the right field bleachers. From that to our opening day tradition. We took evety opening day off and watch baseball all day together.
There's the day when he was in little league and they had no more pitchers. Thy put Michael in even though he never pitched before. The game and the season were on the line, if they won they made the playoffs. Michael pitched to 4 batters, 3 of which struck out. They went on to become city champs.
Then there's the time he was on the high school swim team. He was anchor on the relay. He dove in and his suit came off, but he pulled them back up and kept swimming.
Or all the times we went bowling and as hard as he tried he could never beat me. He would always seem to choke.
Seems to be a running sports theme huh? That was Michael, sports nut to the core. A chip off the old block.
There was the time we went on a cruise and he won the chicken legs contest. Then on the same cruse we went intoWport, we decided to go to the beach and he stayed under a hat and towel the whole time because I forgot to bring the 45 spf sunscreen. We had some 15 but that wasn't good enough.
I could go on all day. He could be cruel, but mostly he was a good kid who grew up to be a strong, brave man that I am proud to call my son. I will love hm forever.
